About the event

Meet leaders of Orange County who dealt with antisemitism and terrorism.

Our Speakers:

Huntington Beach Mayor Gracey Van Der Mark is the daughter of immigrant parents from Ecuador and Mexico who came to America in search of a better life. Raised with 10 brothers and sisters, she is a self-described fighter to give voice to the underserved. She grew up in Los Angeles where she met her husband Pieter. Gracey and Pieter are small business owners. They moved to Huntington Beach 23 years ago from Los Angeles to seek safety, quality of life and a family-friendly environment to raise their blended family of 7 children. Gracey is a proud grandmother to her first grandson, Ethan.

Aliso Viejo Mayor Mike Munzing is a dedicated public servant with extensive experience in local government and community service. As the current Mayor of Aliso Viejo, he brings a wealth of knowledge on public safety and community leadership. Mike's commitment to security is evident through his service on his church's security team and his involvement in various regional councils and agencies.

Honorable Bijan R. Kian, born in Iran, is a former U.S. senior official with extensive knowledge of Iranian affairs, terrorism issues, and public policy. His unique background and experience in national and international security make him a valuable voice in discussions on exposing and combating terrorism and antisemitism. Mr. Kian's insights draw from his work across three U.S. presidential administrations and his continued education at prestigious institutions like Harvard, Oxford, and MIT in areas including international security.

San Clemente Councilman Steve Knoblock is a dedicated public servant with a legal background. His experience includes serving on the County Assessment Appeals Board and as Chairman of the County Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board. Steve has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, notably through his work with Gleaners, Inc., a non-profit corporation where he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chaplain. In this role, he coordinated around 400 volunteers from 60 different Orange County evangelical churches in the OC Jail system. His goals include bringing transparency and safety to his town. Steve's diverse experience in public policy and community engagement provides valuable insights into addressing complex societal issues, including extremism.
